New Zealand Food Safety (NZFS) has praised the council’s Environmental Health Services Team for its outstanding efforts to ensure hundreds of food businesses across the Far North are operating safely.

Faster and more reliable Wi-Fi, new Windows computers and more accessible self-service printing are now available at Far North libraries. This follows a full overhaul of public library computer systems.

Our district is growing to meet the needs of an increasing population, and our infrastructure needs to grow with it. To help meet the costs of growth, the council is proposing to reintroduce charges under a Utu Whakawhanake – Development Contributions Policy.
