Community boards across the Far North have approved funding for local events during the February meetings.

A Far North Creative Communities grant has helped bring RockQuest back to centre stage in the region, leading to a national scholarship win for a Kerikeri student.

The final chapter has closed on this year’s Summer Reading programme at He Puna Mārama, Far North District Libraries, with scores of tamariki across the Te Hiku o Te Ika diving into books, creativity and imagination.

Far North District Council has been ranked 10th out of 54 district councils across New Zealand for customer experience, following the release of the 2025 Customer Experience (CX) Benchmarking Programme results by the Association of Local Government Information Management (ALGIM).
