Don’t miss the State of the Far North event

The countdown is on for the State of the Far North address on Tuesday 12 November – now less than a month away.

The first-of-its-kind event, held at Kerikeri’s Turner Centre, will provide a unique opportunity for business, community, and political leaders, as well as Te Ao Māori representatives, to hear how Far North District Council plans to address the challenges posed by recent weather events and economic shifts. The event also offers an important space for stakeholders to network and discuss key issues impacting the district.

Over 200 people have already registered, and those who have secured tickets will receive email confirmations of their entry to the Road to Recovery address.

If you responded to an email invite by clicking on the RSVP link, a ticket will be emailed to you shortly. Please ensure to share the RSVP link with any partners, colleagues, or others who plan to attend, as each guest must register individually to receive a ticket.

Tickets will include a unique code that must be scanned at the venue upon entry. Due to limited seating at the venue, only confirmed ticket holders will be admitted. Tickets can be stored digitally on smartphones or printed for scanning at the door.

To ensure a smooth experience, attendees are advised to arrive at the Turner Centre by 5.30pm. The event will begin promptly at 6.30pm. Light refreshments will be available at the theatre bar both before and after the event.

Members of the public wishing to attend can complete a short registration form to secure a seat at the event here.

The Road to Recovery address is an opportunity for Kahika Moko Tepania to roll out the council’s vision for delivering on core priorities, including roading, infrastructure, services, and partnerships. He’ll outline the fresh approaches the council is taking to make the Far North a district of sustainable prosperity and wellbeing. Updates on major projects are also expected to be revealed at the not-to-be-missed event.

The Turner Centre auditorium is fully accessible and includes two wheelchair spaces. To reserve one, please contact us at Communications@fndc.govt.nz.
