The 21.1km half marathon course kicks off at Ōkaihau this Saturday (16 November) and finishes at the Kerikeri Domain.

Temporary road closures for the half marathon will begin at 5.30am and end at about 11.15am. Road closures will affect Waiare Road, Wehirua Road, and Wiroa Road. Roads that intersect with the marathon route may also be disrupted. Those are Lodore Road and Waimate North Road, State Highway 1 at Ōkaihau and State Highway 10 at the Kerikeri roundabout. The Bay of islands Motorists are urged to take extra care while using these routes during the half marathon.

For airport access all traffic will be one way from State Highway 10 intersection heading westbound along Wiroa Road towards the airport entrance. To exit the airport, continue west along Wiroa Road and turn onto Waimate North Road.

After the race has finished, road closures will be in place within the centre of Kerikeri from 2pm to 11pm for the annual street party. The closures will affect Kerikeri Road from the intersection of Fairway Drive to Homestead Road, and at the beginning of the intersection with Cobham Road.

The street party is due to run from 5pm to 9.30pm and will include live music across three stages showcasing local talent, as well as food stalls representing local cafés, restaurants, food trucks, breweries, and vineyards.

Tickets for those aged 14 years and above are $10 if booked in advance from Eventfinda. Tickets are $15 at the gate. Children under 14 and seniors are free or by koha.
