RSVP to secure spot at first State of the Far North
Registration opened this week for the district’s Te Ao Māori, business, political, and community leaders, as well as interested residents, to secure their ticket to the first-of-its-kind State of the Far North address on 12 November, presented by Mayor Moko Tepania.
Those attending the Tuesday evening Road to Recovery address at the Turner Centre in Kerikeri will hear first-hand the council’s plans to get the Far North moving forward in the wake of a series of weather-related and economic challenges that have impacted the district in recent years.
"The State of the Far North address is a chance for us to reflect on the tough times we’ve been through and share the steps we’re taking to make sure our district comes out stronger. I’ll be talking about how we’re planning for a future where everyone in our community can thrive," says Mayor Tepania.
Kahika Tepania will roll out the council’s vision for delivering on core priorities – roading, infrastructure, services, and partnerships. He’ll outline the fresh approaches the council is taking to make the Far North a district of sustainable prosperity and wellbeing. Updates on major projects are also expected to be revealed at the not-to-be-missed event.
"This address is all about looking ahead and laying out the key projects and priorities that will help us move forward, with a focus on making changes that will have a positive and lasting impact on our district," he added.
Venue seating is limited and registrations are expected to book fast. All those wishing to be a part of the inaugural State of the Far North address are encouraged to complete a short registration to secure their spot to attend the event here.
Doors open at 5.30pm for a 6.30 pm start time. Light refreshments will be available and attendees are encouraged to mingle and network after the main address.
