Te Hiku Community Board continues monthly funding reviews

Te Hiku Community Board has decided that reviewing community funding applications every month is the most appropriate way to ensure it supports local applicants.

Its decision follows a move by Bay of Islands-Whangaroa and Kaikohe-Hokianga community boards to trial reviewing applications every two months until the end of the year. Longer funding rounds will allow community groups and organisations more time to prepare applications in consultation with the council’s Funding Advisor and allow the two boards more time to consider community outcomes when grant recipients report back.

You can read more information about funding details on our website.

The next Te Hiku Community Board meeting is on Tuesday 17 September at Te Ahu, Kaitāia.
