Kawakawa Library and Service Centre is located in Te Hononga Hundertwasser Memorial Park, in central Kawakawa.
Te Hononga opened in October 2020 and the library and service centre shares the building with a gallery, community workshop space and a memorial to the artist Friedensreich Hundertwasser.
Kawakawa is the gateway to the Bay of Islands and is part of the Twin Coast Cycle Trail Pou Herenga Tai. Te Hononga Hundertwasser Memorial Park has freedom camping spaces, a 24/7 shower and a toilet block for campers and cyclists.
At the Kawakawa Library and Service Centre visitors can access a comprehensive range of council services, including photocopying, scanning, public internet, and WiFi.
