End of the line for Kerikeri dump station

A caravan and motorhome dump station in Kerikeri, used to dispose of waste and to access potable water, is being decommissioned.

The facility at 69 Cobham Road, Kerikeri, is on private land and the owners now have plans to develop the site when the current lease runs out at the end of August.

Ventia will begin the decommissioning work on Monday 5 August. It is expected to take three to five days, with completion expected by Friday 9 August.

The final day to use the Kerikeri dump station will be Sunday 4 August.

There are currently no other public dump stations in Kerikeri, with the closest alternatives being in Kawakawa or Kaikohe. A complete list of Northland dump stations can be found here.

The council is actively looking for a suitable site to replace the Kerikeri dump station. Unfortunately, nothing has so far been found. We will continue to work with the New Zealand Motor Caravan Association (NZMCA) to identify potential sites.
