Busy Paihia isite temporarily closed for uplift

The Bay of Islands isite centre in Paihia will close at 3pm today so its well-trodden carpet can be replaced.

The isite, one of the country’s busiest information centres, will also be closed for the whole day on Wednesday 3 July so a new electrical cupboard can be installed.

With more than 250,000 visitors annually, the worn carpet’s replacement has been in the planning for some time and was paid for out of the isite renewals budget.

There are more than 50 visitor information centres around New Zealand, including more than 300 isite staff. Each year these centres welcome more than three million visitors from across New Zealand and around the world.
