Night sealing works for SH10

Temporary speed limits and traffic controls will be in place while sealing work is carried out at three locations along State Highway 10 around Waipapa over the next few weeks.

Contractor Fulton Hogan is carrying out the work on behalf of the NZ Transport Agency Waka Kotahi (NZTA), which maintains the nation’s network of state highways.

The first section between Kahikatearoa Lane and just south of Industrial Way is due to start on Tuesday 28 January but is dependent on weather.

Sealing at separate sections near Waimate North Road and Pungaere Road is scheduled for mid-February.

The work at each location is expected to be carried out over two nights. Motorists are advised to slow down and take extra care when travelling through the newly sealed sections to avoid small chips flicking up from the road surface.

Head to journeys.nzta.govt.nz for up-to-date information, including any schedule changes due to the weather.
