We maintain a range of facilities for Far North residents and visitors, including playgrounds, sports fields, swimming pools, walkways and reserves. We also own and maintain toilets, wharves and pontoons, cemeteries, libraries, community halls and housing for the elderly.

Engineering Standards

You are invited to review and provide your feedback on the Draft Engineering Standards by reference to the proposed District Plan. The best way to give your feedback is via is our online survey.

The draft is a significant update of the 2009 Engineering Standards. It has been developed from the Whangarei District Council Engineering Standards together with other changes tailored with respect to the Far North. It should be reviewed in conjunction with the review guidelines, which outlines items Council has identified and is working on.
