We maintain a range of facilities for Far North residents and visitors, including playgrounds, sports fields, swimming pools, walkways and reserves. We also own and maintain toilets, wharves and pontoons, cemeteries, libraries, community halls and housing for the elderly.

Regional Accessibility Strategy

Many people in our communities have disabilities and access needs. People with access needs include people with disabilities, older adults, whanau with young children, and people with language difficulties.

The four Northland councils are working together to support accessibility in Te Tai Tokerau.

We want your input as someone who has experienced barriers to accessibility. And we want you to participate in the way that best suits you. There are some options below for you to choose from. Printed copies are also available upon request from our customer service centres and libraries. If none of these options suit, you can email submissions@fndc.govt.nz or call into your local council service centre anywhere in Northland for more information.
