LIM cutoff dates
Section 2(1) of the Local Government Official Information & Meetings Act 1987 determines that the days in the period from 20-Dec in any year to 10-Jan in the following year are not “working days” in relation to the statutory period within which Land Information Memoranda (LIM) must be issued. LIM applications received up until 5pm on the 05-Dec-2024 will be issued the 19-Dec-2024, being the day before the beginning of the statutory period. Any application received after the 05-Dec-2024 will not be issued until after the 10-Jan-2025.

Important information
The cost of the LIM is $395.00 (incl. GST) plus the convenience fee (as at 11 November 2024).
Certificate of Title
Obtain the Record of Title (Certificate of Title) for the property you are interested in, from Land Information New Zealand (LINZ). https://www.linz.govt.nz/ Only Title with Diagram (not Historic) search copies dated no older than 6 months will be accepted.
You will upload this document to your application.
Request your LIM
Click on the Apply now button and then select Applications >New Application within the My FNDC homepage.

You can request and pay for a LIM at any of our Service Centres.
Property details
Make sure you have the address of the property you are interested in.
Record of Title
Give a copy of the record of title for the property to our service centre staff.
Payment
You can pay the fee using credit card, debit card, EFTpos or cash.

How will I receive the LIM?
- An email with the LIM pdf attached.
- An emailed link via our Sharepoint platform directing you to open a LIM folder we have 'shared' with you. Follow the prompts to view your LIM. Downloading the LIM promptly will avoid the 14 day expiration on access. You cannot share this link or email with another source.
