Kororāreka/Russell Resource Consent Renewal

Project details

Discharges from the Kororāreka/Russell wastewater treatment plant are managed by two discharge consents. One is for odour to air and one covers the discharge of treated wastewater and landfill leachate to ground via disposal bores. These consents expired on 30 April 2024.

FNDC made an application to the Northland Regional Council (NRC) to replace these consents in December 2023 and has been put on hold. A copy of the application is below. The application will be publicly notified once all necessary information has been supplied to NRC.
