The new location
The site where the new library and civic hub will be located is the corner of Raihara Street and Broadway in Kaikohe. This is about 80m away from the current location of the Kaikohe Library.
The site of the new library and civic hub once housed a Save Mart second-hand shop and Petersen Motors show room. These buildings are due to be demolished in the coming months.
